"I Tried Social Media and It Didn't Work" — Read This First

Most landscapers who say social media didn't work didn't fail at social media. They failed at strategy. Here's the difference.
The biggest lie landscapers tell themselves is "I tried social media and it didn't work." Almost nobody who says that actually tried social media. They tried posting a few times, didn't see results, and quit. That's not a test of social media. That's a test of how long they can stay consistent without proof.
What "didn't work" almost always means
- Never posted enough to compound
- Never had clear messaging tied to a specific homeowner problem
- Never had a consistent visual or written voice
- Never learned what content actually performs in the landscape niche
- Quit too early — usually inside the first 90 days
Social media rewards repetition
One or two posts a month is not a strategy. It's noise. The companies seeing real ROI are posting consistently enough — usually 3 times a week, every week — to build familiarity and trust over time. Familiarity is the asset. Random posts can't build it.
You probably didn't fail at social media. You failed at strategy.
What to do differently this time
Pick a cadence you can sustain for 12 weeks straight, with one clear message and one clear next step in every post. Then evaluate. If you've done that and it didn't work, then we can talk. Until then, you haven't tested it yet.
